Distiller’s Base Malt
We take our time to produce our distiller’s base malt. Cool temperatures, extended germination time and kilning produce and preserve the enzymes needed for mash conversion. Our Texas grown barley has the right amount of protein for healthy yeast growth and development.
Brewer’s Base Malt
Cool initial temperatures and extra germination time give our barley time to develop, before kilning low and finishing with the right amount of heat for flavor. Low protein and wort color paired with high enzymes make this brewer’s base a great start for many styles of beer.
Munich Malt
Kilned at higher temperatures to develop a richly flavored malt with a smooth malty sweetness. Has diastatic power for self-conversion and can be used for all or part of the grain bill for enhanced malt character.
Vienna Malt
This smooth malt is full bodied for golden and amber beers, still passes as a base malt for malty beers.
Wheat Malt
Add a true Texas flavor to your beer. This locally grown, lightly kilned soft red winter wheat adds a mild breadiness while improving head retention.
